Workshops for March & April 2012
We're pleased to announce that we have sorted out some great crafty workshops for you to enjoy over the next couple of months. Take a look at these and if you're interested in taking part, there are details at the end on how to book.
Our workshops take place in the lovely upstairs workshop room at Jam Jar Beads and include as much tea and cake as you can eat!

Chain Maille Centipede Bracelet Workshop
Saturday 10th March, 11.00am-1.00pm
£15 per person
A good beginners workshop for those of you wanting to get started in chain maille jewellery making.
Learn to create this bracelet using different sized jump rings and linking them in a particular order to form the centipede pattern.
Includes all materials as well as lovely tea and cake too!

Chain Maille Rosette Bracelet Workshop
Saturday 10th March, 2.00pm-5.00pm
£20 per person
This chain maille workshop is better for those with some basic knowledge of chain maille techniques.
Learn to make this intricate bracelet by linking jump rings together in a specific order and pattern. The effect is a very complicated and striking looking bracelet about which you can proudly say "oh, this old thing...I made it myself"
Includes all materials and yummy tea and cakes.

Daisy Chain Bracelet Workshop
Saturday 24th March, 2.00pm-5.00pm
£16 per person
A nice beginners workshop for those wanting to learn to make jewellery weaving seed beads together.
Come and learn to make this daisy chain bracelet in your choice of colours.
All materials and refreshments included.

Basic Jewellery Making Workshop
Saturday 31st March, 2.00pm-5.00pm
£26 per person
Perfect for those of you who are new to jewellery making and want to learn the basic techniques for making your own jewellery.
In the workshop you will make a chain and bead necklace, a beaded wire bracelet, a simple pair of drop earrings, and a pair of beaded teardrop earrings. Each item uses a different technique and different materials.

Fabric Daisy Hair Grips & Brooch Workshop
Saturday 14th April, 2.00-5.00pm
£15 per person
Learn to make these sweet little daisies by manipulating and sewing fabric pieces together, then decorate them with buttons. In this workshop you will make a set of 2 hairgrips and a brooch, but these flowers can be used for all sorts - jewellery, hair accessories, card-making, scarp-booking, or customising clothes.
We provide all materials as well as tea and cake based goodness.

Fimo Cake Pendant/Charm Workshop
Saturday 28th April, 2.00pm-5.00pm
£24 per person
Make a little mini cake using your choice of colours and toppings. Make the whole cake then decide how you want to cut it up - maybe make a pair of earrings and a necklace? Or slice it up and make a charm bracelet?
All materials will be provided by us.

How to book:
Places are offered on a first come, first served basis. Your place will not be secured until we receive either full payment or 50% deposit. Until we receive payment, your place may be offered to another customer.
Cancellation:
If we have to cancel the workshop, we will offer you either a refund or an alternative date. If you need to cancel, please let us know as soon as possible. If you cancel before 7 days prior to the workshop, we will give you a full refund. If it is within the week leading up to the workshop, we are only able to offer a full refund if we are able to find someone to fill your place.
